Aluminium hangar tents, also called aluminium frame tents, clear-span tents or fabric hangar structures, are large relocatable buildings made of an aluminium frame clad in PVC fabric. The frame crosses the full width with no columns inside, leaving the floor free for aircraft, warehouse racks, exhibitions or sports courts. They are bolted together on site, can be lengthened bay by bay, and can be dismantled and shifted to a new location when needed.
ShadeCo India Private Limited is an aluminium hangar tents manufacturer and supplier in India. We design, fabricate, supply and install aircraft hangar tents, MRO and maintenance hangars, industrial warehouse hangar tents, exhibition and trade show halls, large event and sports hall tents, and relocatable or custom-built units, taking each project from the first site check to a finished, working building.

Hangar Tent Sizes and Configurations
When ShadeCo India plans a hangar tent, three numbers come first: the clear width, the side height and the length. The width is set by what has to fit inside without columns, such as an aircraft's wingspan, a row of racks with forklift aisles, or a set of courts. Side height decides how high doors and stacked goods can go, and the length is built up in bays, so the tent can be made longer later by adding more frames.
After that, the tent is configured for its use. Warehouses usually get roller shutter or sliding doors and solid side panels, aircraft hangars need a wide opening at one end, and exhibition halls often have a glazed front with an entrance canopy. Roof and walls can be single-layer PVC or insulated, and lighting, ventilation, flooring and gutters can be added as needed.

Benefits of Aluminium Hangar Tents for Large-Span Projects
Companies choose hangar tents when they need a large covered space quickly and do not want to commit to a permanent building.
- No Internal Columns: The full floor area can be used for aircraft, racks, vehicles or events, with nothing in the way.
- Fast to Build: Frames bolt together on site, so a hangar tent is usable much sooner than a conventional building.
- Relocatable: The structure can be dismantled and put up again at another site, which suits project sites and changing operations.
- Extendable: Adding frames makes the tent longer when more space is needed.
- Light but Strong Frame: Aluminium does not rust and is easier to handle than heavy steel sections.
- Lower Upfront Cost: Less foundation work and shorter build time keep the initial cost lower than most permanent structures.
Applications of Aluminium Hangar Tents
In aviation, hangar tents shelter light aircraft, helicopters and business jets, and give MRO teams a covered bay for inspections and repairs at airports and airstrips that lack a permanent hangar. Defence units and disaster response agencies use them in the same way for equipment and temporary bases.
Industry uses them as warehouses, overflow storage during peak seasons, and temporary production or assembly areas while a factory is being expanded. Exhibition organisers and event companies put them up as exhibition halls, conference venues and large event spaces, and schools and sports clubs use them to cover badminton, basketball and multi-sport courts.
Aluminium Hangar Tent vs Prefabricated Steel Building
Both give a large column-free space. The difference is mainly in how long you need the building and whether it may have to move.

Aluminium Hangar Tent Price in India: Factors That Affect Cost
Hangar tents are usually priced on the covered area, but the clear width has the biggest effect on the frame, since wider spans need deeper aluminium sections. Side height adds to the cost in the same way, and a longer tent simply adds more bays.
Insulated roofs and walls, hard side panels, glazed fronts, roller shutters and large aircraft doors all add to the base price, as do lighting, ventilation and flooring. The site matters too: anchoring on existing concrete costs less than preparing new ground, and transport and installation depend on the location.
For a quote, send the width, length and height you need, how the space will be used, the type of doors, the site location, and whether the tent is for short-term or long-term use.
How We Plan and Install Aluminium Hangar Tents
Most hangar tent projects have a deadline, whether it is an exhibition date, an aircraft delivery or a stock arrival, so the work is planned backwards from when the space must be ready.
- Step 1 – Site and requirement check: We confirm what the tent must hold, the ground type, access for delivery trucks and lifting equipment, and the date the space is needed.
- Step 2 – Layout and drawings: Width, length, height, door positions and wall types are fixed in drawings for your approval.
- Step 3 – Engineering: The frame and anchoring are checked for the site wind speed as per IS 875 (Part 3) and for any loads hung from the roof, such as lights or fans.
- Step 4 – Supply: Frames, fabric panels, doors and fittings are prepared to the approved drawings and dispatched to site.
- Step 5 – Installation: Frames are assembled on the ground and raised bay by bay, then the PVC roof and wall panels are pulled into the frame tracks and tensioned. Doors, gutters and add-ons are fitted last.
- Step 6 – Handover: The structure is checked against the drawings, and your team receives guidance on care, inspection, and dismantling if the tent will be moved later.
Aluminium Hangar Tent Design and Installation Solutions
ShadeCo India designs, supplies and installs aluminium hangar tents for aviation companies, industrial facilities, logistics operators, defence projects, exhibition organisers and sports facilities. A single project can be one aircraft shelter at an airstrip or a large warehouse tent with loading doors on both sides.
Why Industrial and Aviation Clients Choose ShadeCo India
We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and have been building fabric structures in India since 2010. Design, site work and installation are handled by our own engineers and installers, so the drawings you approve are the ones built on site.
Because we also make prefabricated steel buildings and tensile structures, we can advise whether a hangar tent or a permanent building is the better fit for your timeline and budget.
For related large-space and outdoor structure options, you can also explore our pagoda tents, prefabricated steel buildings, tensile structures, and luxury glamping tents.
Large-Span Roofing and Hangar Tent References
A hangar tent brief should define the usable floor area, door openings and the movement of vehicles, equipment or stored goods. Site access and the intended period of use help establish the installation sequence and whether future extension or relocation needs to be considered.
Our wider roofing work includes the large-span tensile assembly roof at Arwachin Senior Secondary School in Delhi, listed on the projects page. For an aluminium hangar tent, the frame system, enclosure and anchoring are developed specifically for the proposed operation and site.
Aluminium Hangar Tents Across India
Hangar tents are supplied and installed anywhere in India, from airports and airstrips to industrial estates, logistics parks, exhibition grounds and project sites. Our base is in Delhi NCR, and projects are taken up across North India in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, in the southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, and in the east, including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Assam.
Many hangar tents are used as warehouses and factory sheds, so they are often installed in industrial areas and warehouse clusters, such as those around Gurugram, Manesar, Noida, Faridabad and Sonipat in the NCR, Bhiwandi and Pune in Maharashtra, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat in Gujarat, and Hosur, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad in the south. Aircraft and MRO hangar tents are installed at airports, flying schools and private airstrips, while exhibition and event hangars go up on exhibition grounds and open venues in cities of every size.
These places are examples, not a limit. A hangar tent travels as frames and fabric panels on trucks, so it can be installed at any site in India that a truck can reach, from a plant expansion in a small town to a remote construction camp or a temporary relief base.
