Additional services at ShadeCo India cover the steel and roofing work that often comes with a shade project but is not a tensile structure itself. This includes railings, gates, staircases, metal and polycarbonate roofing, gutters, louvers and bird netting, so clients can get general fabrication and roofing work done in one place.
These jobs use the same Delhi workshop, in-house fabricators and site teams as our tensile projects. ShadeCo India Private Limited has been doing this work since 2010, on projects across India and abroad, including Nepal. Steel parts are cut, welded and powder-coated or painted in-house before they reach the site.

Metal Fabrication
Our workshop makes steel items to measure, from a single gate to a full mezzanine floor.
- Railings: MS and SS railings for balconies, staircases and terraces.
- Gates and Grills: MS gates, window grills and boundary grills.
- Steel Staircases: Straight and turning stairs for buildings, sheds and terraces.

Railing heights are set by the National Building Code of India and local building rules. They usually call for higher guard rails on balconies than on stairs, and they discourage horizontal bars that children can climb. Our team follows the rules that apply to your building.
Metal Sheet and Polycarbonate Roofing
Metal roofing sheets on steel purlins are a practical roof for sheds, warehouses and factory buildings. Polycarbonate sheets are used on terraces, walkways and skylights where daylight is wanted under the roof. We supply and fix both, along with the steel frame that carries them.
- Roof Slope: Polycarbonate roofs are laid at a slope of about 5° or more, so rainwater runs off freely.
- Rib Direction: The ribs of multiwall sheets run down the slope, so water inside the flutes can drain.
- UV Side Out: The printed, UV-protected face of each sheet is fixed facing the sky.
- Room to Expand: Fixing holes are made larger than the screws, and edges are sealed with tapes and neutral silicone.
Gutters, Downpipes and Drainage
A roof is only as good as the way it sheds water. We make and fix new GI and SS gutters and downpipes for sheds, shade structures and buildings, sized to the roof area they drain. Existing gutters are also repaired: leaking joints are resealed, sagging brackets are refixed and damaged lengths are replaced.
Louvers, Sun Shades and Bird Netting
Aluminium and MS louvers and window sun shades cut down direct sun and glare while still letting air pass through. They suit building fronts, plant rooms and west-facing windows.
Bird netting keeps pigeons and other birds off shade structures, ledges and roof spaces. It also reduces droppings on fabric roofs, which lowers the need for cleaning.
