CNC profile cutting of steel plate at the ShadeCo India workshop
CNC cut and bent metal parts ready for fabrication

CNC profile cutting is a computer-controlled process that cuts metal plates and sheets to an exact shape from a digital drawing. This service is also called CNC plate cutting, CNC metal cutting or sheet metal profile cutting.

ShadeCo India runs CNC plasma, fiber laser and oxy-fuel cutting machines in its Delhi workshop. We cut MS, GI, stainless steel and aluminium for our own tensile structures and steel buildings. We also take outside job work from fabricators, contractors, architects and manufacturers.

A CNC machine follows the cutting file exactly. Every part comes out the same, holes line up with the drawing, and repeated parts fit together without extra grinding or re-cutting.

Our CNC Cutting Machines

Each cutting process suits different metals and thicknesses. We choose the one that gives the right edge at the right cost for your part.

  • CNC Fiber Laser: The narrowest cut and the smallest heat-affected zone, with clean, sharp edges. Best for thin sheet, fine detail, stainless steel and aluminium.
  • CNC Plasma: A fast cut for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium in medium thickness. Suits base plates, brackets and structural parts.
  • CNC Oxy-Fuel: Gas cutting for thick mild steel plate. It works only on carbon and mild steel, not on stainless steel or aluminium.

Metals We Cut

We cut mild steel, GI sheet, stainless steel and aluminium, in plate and sheet form, for both structural and decorative parts.

  • Mild Steel (MS): Base plates, gussets, brackets, flanges and structural connection parts.
  • GI Sheet: Flashings, covers, trays and sheet metal panels.
  • Stainless Steel: Visible parts, fittings and signage, where laser cutting leaves a bright, clean edge.
  • Aluminium: Facade panels, light brackets, screens and signage.

Before cutting, the parts are nested on the sheet. This means they are arranged close together to use as much of the plate as possible and reduce waste.

Bending, Welding and Finishing

Cut parts can go straight to CNC bending on a press brake. It folds sheet into channels, angles, flashings and trays at accurate angles. Our workshop also carries out MIG, arc and TIG welding, so cut and bent parts can be joined into brackets, frames and assemblies. Powder coating and painting are done in-house, which means a part can leave our workshop fully finished.

Jaali, Facade Screens and Signage

CNC laser and plasma cutting can produce detailed patterns that are very hard to cut by hand. We cut decorative jaali panels, facade screens and metal signage in MS, stainless steel and aluminium. These panels are often used on building fronts and boundary walls, and along with our ACP cladding and facade work.

Outside Job Work and DXF Files

You do not need to order a structure from us to use our CNC service. Fabricators, contractors, architects and manufacturers can send their own DXF file or drawing, and we cut the parts to it. If you only have a hand sketch or a PDF, our team can prepare the DXF cutting file for you. Besides construction work, we also cut parts for automotive and machinery use.

CNC cutting is also part of our own manufacturing process, where it is used for the base plates, brackets and fittings of tensile structures.

Why Choose ShadeCo India for CNC Cutting

Cutting, bending, welding and coating in one workshop saves you from moving parts between vendors.

01

Three Cutting Processes

Laser, plasma and oxy-fuel let us match the process to the metal and the part.

02

Repeatable Parts

The tenth part matches the first, so assemblies fit without rework.

03

Cut to Finished Part

Bending, welding, powder coating and painting are available under the same roof.

04

Help with Drawings

Send a sketch or PDF, and we prepare the DXF cutting file.

How a CNC Cutting Order Works

Every cutting job follows these steps, whether it is one part or a full batch.

  • Send your DXF file, drawing or sketch, with the metal, thickness and quantity.
  • We prepare or check the cutting file and nest the parts on the sheet.
  • The right machine is chosen: fiber laser, plasma or oxy-fuel.
  • Parts are cut, and then bent, welded or coated if required.
  • Every part is checked against the drawing for size and edge quality.
  • Finished parts are packed and handed over.

Send Us Your Drawing for CNC Cutting

ShadeCo India can cut, bend and finish metal parts in MS, GI, stainless steel and aluminium to your drawing. Kindly send the DXF file, drawing or sketch, along with the metal type, thickness, quantity and any bending or finishing needs. Our team will review the details and reply with the next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions About CNC Profile Cutting

CNC profile cutting is a process where a computer-controlled machine cuts metal plate or sheet to an exact shape taken from a digital drawing, usually a DXF file. The machine follows the file exactly, so every part matches the drawing and repeated parts are identical. It is used for base plates, brackets, gussets, flanges, panels, jaali screens and signage. Common CNC processes are laser, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting.

ShadeCo India cuts mild steel (MS), GI sheet, stainless steel and aluminium on its CNC machines in Delhi. Mild steel can be cut on all three machines: fiber laser, plasma and oxy-fuel. Stainless steel and aluminium are cut on the fiber laser or plasma machine, because oxy-fuel cannot cut them. The process is chosen based on the metal, its thickness and the edge quality needed.

Laser, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting differ in how they cut and which work they suit. A fiber laser gives the narrowest cut, the smallest heat-affected zone and the cleanest edge, which suits thin sheet and fine detail. Plasma uses a hot electric arc and cuts steel, stainless steel and aluminium quickly in medium thickness. Oxy-fuel burns through the metal with gas and is used for thick mild steel plate only.

Yes, ShadeCo India takes outside CNC cutting job work. Fabricators, contractors, architects and manufacturers can send their DXF file or drawing, and we cut the parts in MS, GI, stainless steel or aluminium. You do not need to order a structure from us. Besides construction parts, we also cut parts for automotive and machinery use, and we can add bending, welding and powder coating where required.

A DXF file is the standard input for CNC cutting, because it holds the exact outline and holes of each part. If you have a DXF, send it along with the metal type, thickness and quantity. If you only have a hand sketch, a PDF or a dimensioned drawing, our team can prepare the DXF cutting file for you. We check every file before cutting to catch missing dimensions or errors.

Yes, ShadeCo India cuts decorative jaali panels, facade screens and metal signage on its CNC laser and plasma machines. Detailed patterns that are very hard to cut by hand can be cut accurately and repeated across many panels. Panels can be made in MS, stainless steel or aluminium, and then powder-coated or painted in our workshop. They are often used on building fronts, boundary walls and with ACP facades.

Yes, cut parts can be bent and welded in the same workshop. CNC bending on a press brake folds sheet into channels, angles, flashings and trays at accurate angles. Our team carries out MIG, arc and TIG welding to join parts into brackets, frames and assemblies. Powder coating and painting are also done in-house, so parts can be delivered fully finished instead of moving between vendors.

Nesting is the step where parts are arranged on the metal sheet before cutting, so they fit together as closely as possible. Good nesting uses more of each plate and leaves less scrap, which lowers material cost. It also lets different parts from the same order be cut from one sheet. Our team nests every job before cutting, whether the order is a single part or a full batch.
